ARTriculate Art Coach Policy
Working with our Art Coaches
-
We recommend that you book at least FOUR sessions in advance. This approach helps us plan your custom curriculum and allows you to select a regular time that works well for your schedule. Scheduled meetings foster a mindset of consistency, which is a key to progress.
Each session is scheduled for one hour.
Use your art coach’s scheduler link to book your next meeting. If you need the scheduling link, please send an email to stephanie@artriculate.com.
-
Each coach has their own zoom room.
When you book a meeting with your art coach, the zoom link is provided in the appointment confirmation link. -
The meeting space should be well lit, and free of distractions.
Check to make sure that your computer or device has a working camera and microphone, and that you know how to use it!
Please have a pencil, an eraser, and some drawing paper available.
Your art coach will always go over what additional supplies you may need in your meetings together, and they will include notes in the summary report that is sent out after the meeting ends.
-
The Key to Success!
Like any other type of coaching – sports, music, drama – you must practice between meetings and we expect that you complete assignments before each meeting.
Your success will ultimately depend on the time you put into your independent work, and how often we communicate in between meetings!
Your art coach is here for you 100% but the rest is up to you. Developing a strong work ethic will not only help you get an amazing portfolio together, it will also prepare you for working independently once you start your college career.
-
If you need to cancel or reschedule a meeting, please use the link on the appointment email. Your art coach appreciates as much notice as possible!
The scheduler will not let you reschedule or cancel an appointment within a 48-hour window.
If plans change within that time frame (for example, if you are sick), let your art coach know immediately and they can help you move the appointment.
If you miss an appointment without notifying your coach ahead of time, there are no refunds or credits applied for a makeup session.
-
Art coaches email a summary report to students and parents at the end of each our sessions.
We use a Google Slide deck as our primary working document. Notes and feedback for our projects are incorporated into the deck.
Art coaches are happy to schedule meetings with parents to discuss strategy, set milestones, and review progress. You can set up the parent meeting using the same calendar.
