Welcome!
Abigail Zola
Architecture & Design Coach
Portfolio Specialist
I’m Abigail, and I’m looking forward to working with you and your family!
Working with a college advisor is an engaging and enriching experience for all of us. I’m excited to navigating the college admissions process together. I’ll provide thoughtful and constructive critiques, challenge your thinking, introduce new ideas, and offer recommendations to help you navigate the whole application process. My goal is to create a nurturing and encouraging environment where you feel confident exploring your artistic voice and style, and to support you in staying organized and focused throughout the process.
Additionally, I will help you develop a unique and impressive art portfolio. I’ll evaluate your current work, recommend pieces to develop or refine, assist with art work descriptions and formatting, and ensure that your submissions align with each school’s specific requirements.
On this page, you’ll find everything you need to know about how we’ll work together and what to expect. If you have any questions along the way, don’t hesitate to reach out.
I’m grateful you’ve entrusted ARTriculate with this important journey. I don’t take the responsibility lightly, and I'm excited to work with you to reach your goals!
Working with me
-
I recommend that you book at least FOUR sessions in advance. This approach helps me plan your custom curriculum and allows you to select a regular time that works well for your schedule. Scheduled meetings foster a mindset of consistency, which is a key to progress.
Each session is scheduled for one hour.
-
The appointment scheduler will create a Zoom session for you to use for each of our scheduled sessions. If you ever need it, here is my room information for Zoom.
My Zoom Meeting ID is: 269 351 4160
The passcode is: 473951 -
The meeting space should be well lit, and free of distractions.
Check to make sure that your computer or device has a working camera and microphone, and that you know how to use it!
Please have a pencil, an eraser, and some drawing paper available.
I will always go over what additional supplies you may need in our meetings together, and I will include notes in our summary report.

The Key to Success!
Like any other type of coaching – sports, music, drama – you must practice between meetings and I expect that you complete assignments before we meet.
Your success will ultimately depend on the time you put into your independent work, and how often we communicate in between meetings!
I’m here for you 100% but the rest is up to you. Developing a strong work ethic will not only help you get an amazing portfolio together, it will also prepare you for working independently once you start your college career.
-
If you need to cancel or reschedule a meeting, please use the link on the appointment email or in the app. I appreciate as much notice as possible!
The scheduler will not let you reschedule or cancel an appointment within a 48-hour window.
If plans change within that time frame (for example, if you are sick), let me know and I can help move the appointment.
If you miss an appointment without notifying me, the meeting time will be counted.
-
I provide a summary report for students and parents at the end of each our sessions.
For art coaching, we use a Google Slide deck as our primary working document. Notes and feedback for our projects are incorporated into the deck.
I am happy to schedule meetings with parents to discuss strategy, set milestones, and review progress. You can set up the parent meeting using the same calendar.
Scheduling Meetings
You can easily schedule your appointments using the calendar on this page.
Before you schedule meetings, you will need the Package Code to set up your appointments. We use the code to keep track of how many hours we have together available in your contract.
Check for an email from Florence or Stephanie. If you don’t see it, send an email stephanie@artriculate.com.
