Applying to competitive art programs, art schools, and conservatories requires more than a great GPA and a personal statement. It requires a curated portfolio, creative supplements, audition preparation, and an intimate knowledge of what each program is actually looking for. That's what ARTriculate does. Exclusively, and expertly.
We begin with group art studios for grades 7–10, building skills and creative confidence early. From high school, students begin work with us for 1:1 art coaching and college consulting. Our new holistic art + college coaching combines art coaching and college advising in one seamless experience, purpose-built for design and architecture students. All services available worldwide via Zoom.

How the process works, by grade year
7th - 10th
GRADES
Discover your creative voice with art coaching
With a personalized approach, students build skills, develop a strong portfolio, and explore new directions with clarity—going deeper than a traditional classroom allows. Favorite areas include a wide range of disciplines—from drawing and illustration, painting, and animation to architecture, fashion, film and photography, industrial and production design, and studio and fine arts, among others.
10th GRADE
College planning begins
One-on-one college consulting starts in 10th grade. We work on course selection, summer programs, resume building, and early college exploration through campus visits and program research.
11th GRADE
Focus and prepare
Finalize your college list, plan your test schedule, and begin developing your portfolio. Identify creative supplement requirements for each program on your list.
12th GRADE
Apply and submit
Essay writing, portfolio curation, application submissions, creative supplements, and audition prep. We manage every deadline and act as the honest broker between student and parent.

College consulting begins in 10th grade, though students can start building their creative foundation earlier through art coaching for grades 7 and up. The earlier a student begins developing their portfolio and exploring programs, the stronger their application will be. We also work with students who come to us in 11th or 12th grade and need focused, results-driven support.

Yes. All of our services are delivered online via Zoom, and we work with creative students and families around the world. Our coaches and advisors currently work with students in the United States, Europe, Africa, and Asia. If your student has a passion for art, design, film, or architecture, we can help regardless of where you are located.

Art coaching is available as prepaid hourly sessions. Students work one-on-one with an ARTriculate coach to develop their portfolio, refine their technique, and prepare creative supplements for college applications. Sessions are structured around the student's goals, timeline, and target programs. College consulting is offered separately as a comprehensive package.

We understand what BFA programs look for in a portfolio, how film submissions differ by school, and what performing arts programs expect in a pre-screen audition. Every advisor has deep expertise in arts education. We guide students through both the written and artistic layers of the application at the same time, something a general college counselor simply cannot do.
