Vassar College

We started working with Sasha at the end of sophomore year. Sasha is a student at an arts conservatory high school and new that she wanted to both study art and history so we focused her college search on schools which offered both strong academics and art programs with the depth of coursework and personal connections which would allow her to continue to grow her artistic skills.

Sasha considered both large universities and smaller liberal arts colleges, visiting them and learning about their programs when they visited her school. She also participated in National Portfolio Day reviews to be sure that if she decided to apply to BFA programs her portfolio would be acceptable for these schools.

When it came time to apply to college she was very well prepared to submit her portfolio both as part of a BFA application, and to provide supplemental information for her application to liberal arts colleges. At Vassar she found the opportunity to study the humanities together with the arts the perfect combination for her.
